Description

The Sarojin is a stylish, boutique property located on a gorgeous white sandy beach just 10 minutes north of Khao Lak town. Designed in a contemporary Asian style to blend in with the natural local elements and landscape, each residence has a private terrace and some have private plunge pools. Relax by the pool during the day and spend your evenings soaking in the atmosphere in one of The Sarojin's a-la-carte restaurants or tasting fine wines at the hotel’s private cellar.

The Sarojin is surrounded by five spectacular national parks as well as one of Thailand's largest natural mangrove ecosystems, hence the surrounding area is great for elephant trekking and nature walks. The Similan and Surin Islands Marine National Parks are less than 1 hour away by boat and are home to one of the top 10 dive sites in the world.

Children under 10 are not allowed at The Sarojin, meaning that this multi-award winning hotel always has a calm and peaceful atmosphere, even in busy school holidays.

Accommodation

56 Residences are housed in 7 separate two storey buildings. The 28 Garden Residences are on the ground floor of each building and have Thai lounge salas and outdoor terraces. The 14 Pool Residences are on the ground floor and have large gardens with plunge pools. The 14 first floor Sarojin Suites have spacious separate living areas and outdoor terraces with bath pools. Careful design at The Sarojin allows maximum space and privacy and the colour palette is soft and modern.

Children under 10 are not permitted at The Sarojin.

The Sarojin has 2 open air relaxed restaurants but also provides fantastic in villa dining and private dining around the resort. There is also a bar, wine cellar, library, spa, swimming pool and fitness centre,

Activities

Activities at The Sarojin include non-motorised water sports, Thai cooking classes, petanque, croquet, bicycles and tennis and golf are both available nearby as is diving and excursions to the National Parks.

When to travel

Tropical climate and the driest months to visit are December to March. November and April are also good months to visit and you may get some rain, although it is outside of the monsoon season. May to October is the monsoon with downpours occurring once or twice a day, rather than constant rain.

Location and directions

Khao Lak, Thailand

The Sarojin is ensconced in a 10 acres of spacious and lush tropical gardens with direct private access onto a secluded 11km long white sand beach on the Andaman Sea. The beach is sheltered by Pakarang Cape. The Sarojin is just a short 10 minute drive from the centre of Khao Lak town in Phang Nga Province, Thailand.

How to get there

11-hour international flight to Bangkok International Suvarnabhumi Airport, followed by a 1-hour domestic flight to Phuket International Airport. The Sarojin is 1-hour from Phuket airport.
