Day with an elephant
Spend the day with your own elephant in Chiang Rai, learning how to bathe and feed them and even the basic Mahout commands of how to control them. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for all ages.
A one day Mahout course is a fascinating experience and a great way to get a feel for the bond between the elephant and its Mahout.
Each guest is given their own elephant and in the morning, you will learn how to feed and bathe your elephant in the river. You will then learn the basic commands used to drive the elephant and you will perform a series of driving exercises in the camp as they get used to your style. In the afternoon, put your skills into practice by taking your elephant for a ride through the jungle.
This is a really rewarding experience that is unique to the area and offers much more than just a quick ride on an elephant.
