Description
The luxury Metropolitan Bangkok is the chic sister to the eponymous hotel on London’s Park Lane. It attracts guests who want to be at the centre of the action, yet at the same time offers a tranquil city escape with yoga classes and nurturing wellness treatments in the fantastically indulgent Como Shambhala Spa.
The Metropolitan Bangkok is located on Sathorn Road, a dynamic enclave within the Thai capital and a short walk from the financial district. Like London, it is a minimalist style hotel with 171 bedrooms and suites decorated in a pared-down, simple style with hints of Thai heritage. The emphasis in the rooms, as in all aspects of the hotel, is fresh, comfortable chic - the rooms are flooded in light, and simple, natural materials are used throughout.
The infamous Met Bar is a great place for evening cocktails and one of the coolest hangouts in the city. Equally enticing are the menus at Namh, the hotel's contemporary Thai restaurant, and Glow which serves healthy cuisine which complements the hotel's incredible holistic spa. With its ten treatment rooms, indoor pool, yoga studio and gym, the Como Shambahala Spa is a nurturing urban escape, often welcomed after a day exploring the frantic but fantastic city of Bangkok.
