At a glance

  • Central and yet utterly serene, the 3 Nagas is as charming as it is intimate.

Description

The 3 Nagas is a small and intimate hotel located in 3 beautifully restored traditional houses in Luang Prabang's Old Quarter - blending Lao heritage with contemporary design in a unique stylish environment the 3 Nagas has been lovingly brought back to life.

Each of the 15 rooms and suites has its own character and are decorated in elegant period furnishings. All come with spacious terraces overlooking the street or garden – perfect for watching daily life unfold over a leisurely breakfast.

There are two restaurants at 3 Nagas, one offering exceptional fine dining with some of the best Laotian cuisine there is, and the other a more casual al fresco venue under the mango hotel's tree. There is also a library filled with magazines, novels and reference books providing an insight into the fascinating history and culture of this extraordinary destination as well as a small boutique.

With its central location in Luang Prabang, 3 Nagas is the perfect base for exploring the charming town, which seems to be untouched by time.

Accommodation

The 3 Nagas' 12 Rooms and 3 Suites are divided between 2 of the hotel's 3 buildings, The Khamboua and The Lamache. The former was built in 1903 and has a garden opening up onto the Nam Khan River; the latter was built in 1898 to house the royal family and in the 1930s was then converted into an ice cream factory. The spacious rooms blend traditional materials of local silks and dark wood with contemporary design and all have private terraces or verandahs, exquisite bathrooms and offer plenty of space.

Childcare

Children are welcome at 3 Nagas but there are no specific facilities here other than babysitting which can be arranged on request. Luang Prabang has plenty to offer kids from cycling to kayaking, visiting caves, waterfalls and even a nearby elephant camp.

Facilities

The hotel's signature 3 Nagas Restaurant has earned a reputation as one of the city's best and combines fresh Lao cuisine and innovative fusion dishes in a fine dining atmosphere. The casual open-air Mango Tree serves light and tasty Western food and a great selection of drinks and cocktails. The hotel also has a small boutique and library.

Activities

Luang Prabang is a wonderful city for exploration on foot or by bike. Verdant riverbanks, glistening temples, the Royal Palace Museum, the night market and nearby caves and waterfalls are just some of the ways to pass the time.
