Description
Hakone Ginyu is a modern luxury Ryokan set into the side of a mountain offering dramatic views over the valley. The contemporary property combines traditional Japanese elements with stunning modern touches and the result is a chic and unique retreat.
There are 20 rooms at Hakone Ginyu including 3 Western style where, in place of the tatami mats, there are wooden floors and western style beds rather than traditional futon mattress. All rooms are beautifully furnished with a harmonious blend of Japanese and Indonesian influences. Each comes with the latest flat screen TV, DVD player and sound system. The outdoor baths on the terrace of each room offer uninterrupted views of the Hakone Mountains.
Two meals per day are included in your stay and are based on traditional Japanese seafood cuisine and served in the dining area of the guest room. Service here is subtle and discreet and meals are fresh and delicious. The Ginyu Spa is an excellent place to unwind after a day of exploration in Hakone and continues the ryokan's theme of pampering - guests can choose from soothing massages, facials and reflexology.
