The Puli has one restaurant, Jing'An serving Western cuisine with an influx of Asian flavours. There is also the Long Bar and adjacent Garden Terrace where afternoon tea and evening cocktails are served. On the 3rd floor, you will find the Anantara Spa with five treatment rooms, a state of the art gym, sauna and steam rooms, a jacuzzi and the 25m infinity lap pool. The hotel is also home to The Library, a cosy space with open fireplace and great books to borrow.

Activities

With its excellent facilities there is lots to do in the hotel but it is also essential to venture out and explore Shanghai. This fast-paced city has lots to see; a visit to the historic Bund is a must and it is also worth visiting at night for electrifying views onto Pudong. The French Concession is also worth seeing with its quirky shops and cafés and important sights include the Yu Gardens, Shanghai Museum and the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Centre for a futuristic view of the city. By night venture out to the many incredible restaurants and bars in town and we can certainly make some recommendations for you.

When to travel

Shanghai weather is generally warm and humid, with four distinct seasons - a pleasant warm spring, a hot rainy summer, a comfortable cool autumn and a cold winter. The hottest time in Shanghai comes in July and August, with more than 10 days at temperatures above 35 C. The coldest time is from the late January to early February. The spring from March to May is recommended as the best time to travel to Shanghai.
