Children are welcome at the Sofitel Wanda and visiting the panda breeding institute nearby will be a highlight of any budding zoologist or animal-loving child's trip and a great way to teach children about the importance of conservation. The hotel does not offer any specific facilities for children but they are happy to organise babysitting on request.

Activities
Other than enjoying the city of Chengdu itself, the main activity for a stay at the Sofitel is a trip out to the panda breeding centre for a once in a lifetime opportunity to see these incredible and endangered animals up close as well as learn about the efforts for conservation that are undertaken here.
