The Superior and Deluxe rooms are comfortable with a contemporary decor and views of the elegant city centre of Chengdu. The Executive River View Room have the same contemporary and relaxing style as well as wonderful views of the Jinjiang River. There are 5 different suites and each vary with their layout. They have a separate living area and some have a kitchenette too. All the suites are extremely spacious and each provide the ultimate luxury for a stay in Chengdu.

Shangri-La Chengdu has some excellent dining options including the Shang Palace which serves authentic Cantonese and Sichuanese dishes. Cafe Z has has a range of different food from South America, the Middle East, Asia and China. There is also Mooney's and the Lobby Lounge for some different venues for drinks.
Activities
There is a fantastic spa a the Shangri - La in Chengdu. Chi, The Spa at Shangri - La is inspired by Asian healing philosophies and the ethos of the spa is to restore balance and harmony with all treatments working towards this aim. There are 11 private spa suites in the spa that also include herbal steam facilities. There is a varied spa menu with a number of different massages and treatments to chose from.

The rainy season is usually in July and August, with occasional storms. Thus, the best time to visit Chengdu is March to June and September to November
