Located on Cambodia's south coast, Kep is a charming fishing village with a rich history. Originally known as Kep-sur-Mer in the early 20th century, Kep was a weekend retreat for the wealthy French living in Phnom Penh. Sadly, the village was virtually destroyed by the Khmer Rouge and is only just starting to build itself up again. Still, Kep remains a charming town that offers a great opportunity for a beach adventure experience in Cambodia.
