Hotel Sol y Luna, located 1km outside Urubamba between the famous market of Pisac and the Incan archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, offers the perfect base for exploring one of the most intriguing parts of the Andes.
Hotel Sol y Luna has 14 comfortable casitas made of adobe, wood and stone to give an authentic Incan feel. All casitas are ensuite and have king size beds and private terraces. The Killa Wasi Restaurant serves Novo Andino cuisine, a distinctive blend of Andean, coastal and international flavours. The Chicha Wasi pub above the restaurant features a full international bar.

When to travel
April to November is the best time to visit Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley. The rainy season is typically from December to March, with the heaviest rains arriving in January and February.

How to get there
16-hour flight from London to Lima's Jorge Chávez International Airport (via Madrid or Miami), followed by a 1-hour 15-minute domestic flight to Cuzco (overnight in Lima usually required). Hotel Sol y Luna is a 1-hour car transfer from Cuzco.
