Ponta dos Ganchos, nestled in a secluded bay amongst lush vegetation and emerald green waters, has 25 delightful ocean view bungalows and villas designed by an award-winning Brazilian architect, many with saunas, private plunge pools and Jacuzzis. Rooms are simple in decor yet luxurious with large beds, comfy sofas and neutral colours. Classic hardwoods and glass combine to create a light, spacious feel and bathrooms have oversized showers.
The restaurant at Poncha dos Ganchos serves delicious local seafood dishes and the wine list is impressive. The infinity pool is delightful and affords fantastic ocean views. Kayaks, canoes and laser dinghies can be chartered for sailing to explore the many beautiful coves in the area. In the winter months, between July and October, one can also take a trip to Imbituba to see Southern Right whales.
Relax beneath the tropical palms, indulge in relaxing treatments at the Christian Dior Spa, doze off in a hammock or stroll along the pristine deserted beach front. Guests are invited to head over to the hotel’s private island to enjoy a romantic evening drink or a romantic candlelit dinner.

Deluxe cabanas offer split-level bedrooms, living rooms and verandahs. Super Deluxe cabanas are larger and feature jacuzzis on large open terraces. Villas boast even more space, gardens, private plunge pools, fitness centres and even wine cellars.

When to travel
High season is generally December to April when it's warm and humid. The coastal location ensures that temperatures rarely exceed 30°C and generally do not fall below 13°C (nighttimes in July). Even in winter (June-September), when rates are lower, daytime temperatures usually reach 21°C. Rainfall is a possibility throughout the year, but January and February often experience slightly heavier showers.

Florianopolis Hercílio Luz Airport is the nearest airport to Ponta dos Ganchos and is served by several domestic carriers from Rio and São Paulo. Ponta dos Ganchos is a 40 minute drive from the airport.
