There are many reasons to go to Buzios: the beauty of the 26 beaches on the peninsula, the charm of the old fishing village, the regional and international restaurants, the golf course, the famous boutiques which are open until dawn on Rua das Pedras, the vibrant nightlife - experience partying Brazil style, the Film Festival, and the picturesque Atlantic forest back drop.

When to travel

Go in low season (March-June and October-December) to avoid the crowds and the heat. It can be quite cool from July to August (usually in the low 20°C's). The hottest time is from December to February, when temperatures often reach 30°C and above and it can be humid with frequent short bursts of rain. This is also the busiest time of year (New Year is one big party). Weekends are also busier than weekdays here.
