Boutique Hotel 0 Beach2Honeymoon2Culture1

Description

Dotted amongst banana, mango and Pau Brazil trees the 8 bungalow rooms at Pousada Etnia each present a different World style from Africa to the Orient. Created by charismatic Italian fashion designers the hotel has immaculate taste, attention to detail and a personal touch. The Master Suite Bungalows offer a little more space and feature living rooms with cable TV.

The beautiful swimming pool is surrounded by a wooden deck, a loggia with superb views and decorated with white sofas and curtain voiles. The hotel’s stylish restaurant/bar is adorned with crisp white cushions, rattan armchairs and has fabulous views. There is a certain understated sophistication to Etnia. No wonder it is a favourite for fashion shoots, design journals and people that yearn for something a bit different.

Why not experience the wonderfully relaxed atmosphere of Trancoso, unwind on one of the many stunning beaches or simply indulge yourself with some Watsu water therapy available at the hotel's therapy center.

When to travel

Temperatures in Bahia vary little from month to month and it's warm all year round, with average highs hovering around 30°C. April to July is the wettest season (though it can rain at any time) and June to September bring slightly cooler evenings. Salvador goes mad during Carnival (February or March depending on the year) - more than 2 million party-goers hit the streets for a colourful riot of dancing and drinking - expect prices to hike and availability to fall dramatically.
