The environmentally friendly Kiaroa Eco Luxury Resort, named after a black pearl found in the region, works harmoniously with the local community focusing on sustainability. Kiaroa Eco Luxury Resort is located on the Marau Peninsula in the beautiful Camamu Bay, the third largest in Brazil.
The 28 suites and bungalows fuse Bahian, African and Balian design with modern amenities. Many of the rooms have spectacular views of the sea, and some with private plunge pools.
There is a restaurant specializing in fresh local seafood and international cuisine. Other facilities include a swimming pool, fitness center, a tennis court as well as opportunities to surf, snorkel or scuba dive and enjoy schooner excursions. Their Armonia spa is fantastic offering both wet and dry saunas, massages including Ayurveda, reflexology and Watsu water therapy.

28 units are divided into 4 distinct categories. Kiaroa offers 10 doubles and 3 twins in the Tropical Luxury category. Rooms feature verandahs, hammocks, minibars, garden views and Egyptian cotton linen. Moorea luxury bungalows have private pools, gardens verandahs and 2 bathrooms. Malindi bungalows feature king sized beds, verandahs, hammocks and jacuzzis. Finally the Bali Luxury bungalow has 2 pools, 2 bathrooms, 2 jacuzzis and a verandah

When to travel
Temperatures in Bahia vary little from month to month and it's warm all year round, with average highs hovering around 30°C. April to July is the wettest season (though it can rain at any time) and June to September bring slightly cooler evenings. Salvador goes mad during Carnival (February or March depending on the year) - more than 2 million party-goers hit the streets for a colourful riot of dancing and drinking - expect prices to hike and availability to fall dramatically.
