Description

Casa Azul is one of the most heavenly houses in Trancoso and despite its beachfront location is very private, even in high season.

The house sleeps up to twelve guests, and is set right on the water at Praia dos Nativos, and the sea in front of the house is great for swimming. By day a covered tent is set up on the beach and drinks are snacks are served as required.

Designed and built by Fabrizio Cacarelli the property is perfectly in keeping with its surroundings and represents a modern, cleaner interpretation of traditional Bahian architecture, which is enhanced by sleek contemporary furniture and design.

There are five bedrooms (two twin rooms in the main house, and three stand-alone bungalows: one has a king bed and the other two each have two queen sized beds), a large swimming pool and beachfront garden with the shade of mature coconut palms. The staff of four is there all day and there is always someone there in the evening to make drinks.

When to travel

Temperatures in Bahia vary little from month to month and it's warm all year round, with average highs hovering around 30°C. April to July is the wettest season (though it can rain at any time) and June to September bring slightly cooler evenings. Salvador goes mad during Carnaval (February or March depending on the year) - more than 2 million party-goers hit the streets for a colourful riot of dancing and drinking - expect prices to hike and availability to fall dramatically.
