Children are welcome at Los Cerros. There are no specific children's facilities and we would recommend this as a destination more suited to older children due to the nature of the activities on offer in the area.

El Chaltén is a fantastic base for outdoor activities. Various options are available to guests staying at Los Cerros including trekking and climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, bird watching and boat trips to Glacier Viedma, where it is possible to go ice hiking, with the use of crampons and assisted by qualified guides.
When to travel
October to April is generally the best time to visit, but the southern autumn (April and May) is often characterised by extraordinary leaf colours, and prices are usually lower at this time. Winter days are cold but often still.

How to get there
13-hour 40-minute flight to Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport. 2-hour domestic flight from Jorge Newbery, Buenos Aires to El Calafate followed by a 3-hour car transfer.
