When to travel
The weather is good almost all year round in Salta and the north west in general. It’s warm and dry in winter (June to September) though it gets cold at night. Summer (December to February) is hot and there’s no air conditioning in most rooms. Avoid the rainy season of February to March, when many of the roads to places you'll want to explore may be impassable due to flooding.

The Patios de Cafayate Hotel & Spa is located on the same grounds as the state-of-the-art El Esteco Winery. The winery and its vineyards are located in the Calchaquies Valleys, at more than 1,700 metres above sea level.
How to get there
Salta is the nearest airport and is served by domestic airlines from Buenos Aires' Jorge Newbery Airport, a 2 hour 15 minute flight. The Patios de Cafayate is a 3 hour drive from the airport.
