Description
Each of the six rooms at Kkala has a distinctive character. Wood and stone are some of the materials used, decorated with linen and velvet and a selection of local crafts and antiques. Outdoors, there is a beautiful garden with a wall fountain and a pool with a deck.
Salta is one of the most traditional and picturesque provinces of Argentina. From Salta it is possible to visit the Calchaquies valleys, the town of Cachi itself and the wine region of Cafayate. A visit to the neighbouring city of Jujuy is another possibility, as well as Tilcara, Purmamarca and its famous Hill of Seven Colours.
Other activities on offer nearby include trekking, rafting, caving, climbing, horseback riding and paragliding. At night, Salta's bustling Balcarce street offers a wide variety of bars, restaurants, musical shows and handicraft fairs.

When to travel
The weather is good almost all year round in Salta and the north west in general. It’s warm and dry in winter (June to September) though it gets cold at night. Summer (December to February) is hot and there’s no air conditioning in most rooms. Avoid the rainy season of February to March, when many of the roads to places you'll want to explore may be impassable due to flooding.
