Description

Club Tapiz is located in the Fincas Patagónicas wine estate, built in 1890 and surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards in the province of Mendoza. The seven bedroom lodge, with nearby four-bedroom private villa, is set in 150 acres of Malbec and Pinot vineyards with the snow-capped Andes as a spectacular backdrop.

The cosy guest rooms are built around a garden with fantastic views of the vineyards, and there is a swimming pool, gym and spa within the grounds. The Terruno restaurant serves the finest local cuisine and the best wines of the region. The wine list includes wine from thirty of the best bodegas in the province and there is also a private cellar. Other activities include bike rides to explore the local bodegas of Maipu and Lujan de Cuyo, cooking classes and olive oil tasting.

Mendoza isn't just about wine and a trip to the mountains is a must; from late June to September one can go skiing in the resort of Las Leñas or the more family orientated Los Penitentes. The stunning landscape in and around Mendoza also provides some fantastic fishing, trekking, white water rafting (September through to May) and horse riding.
