Tipiliuke Lodge, part of the Cerro de los Pinos estancia, provides an extremely comfortable and superbly managed base for a whole host of outdoor activities in the beautiful Argentine countryside. The main lodge is a warm and comfortable stone house with nine bedrooms with private facilities, a cosy living room, dining room, and bar. Lunch is a grand event at Tipiliuke, done in the typical Argentine fashion and often offered outside. The Mayal is a stone house providing additional accommodation through its 3 bedrooms and private bathrooms in addition to a two-bedroom apartment. The property has a spacious living room and the large open fireplace accentuates the warm atmosphere. The patio has an outdoor pool set in four acres of pristine parkland.
Trekking in the Nahuel Huapi National Park, fly fishing in the clear waters of the nearby River Chimehuín, home to both rainbow and brown trout, bird watching, cattle round-up and gaucho activities as well as excellent horse riding and mountain biking are on offer. Golf and excursions to the spectacular Lanin volcano are also available.
Accommodation
Tipiliuke Lodge features 9 bedrooms with private bathrooms. The Mayal is a separate stone house providing additional accommodation through its three bedrooms with private bathrooms and a two-bedroom apartment with one bathroom.
Childcare
Children over 10 are welcomed at Tipiliuke, and will love all the activities on offer, however the atmosphere, while extremely friendly, is quite adult.

Activities on offer at Tipiliuke include excellent horse riding, fly fishing, golf, hiking and trekking, bird watching, rafting and climbing. Spa treatments, cooking lessons, and visits to the National Park can also be arranged.
When to travel
The Lake District is beautiful in spring (October) and autumn (March) and fresher in these months than during the height of summer. Between October and April is the best time to visit, although skiing is good from July to September. Winter is usually pretty mild. The fly-fishing season runs from November to April.

Tipiliuke is located at the foot of the Andes mountain range, in the middle of Lake District – Argentina, just a few kilometers from the city of San Martín de los Andes.
How to get there
2-hour 20-minute flight to Chapelco and a 10-minute road transfer. Alternatively, Tipiliuke can also be reached by a 2-hour 20-minute flight from Buenos Aires to Bariloche followed by a 3-hour road transfer.
