The Llao Llao is spectacularly set amidst crystal blue lakes, snow-capped peaks and unexplored larch and cypress forests. Extensively renovated in 2008, it is undoubtedly one of the best-appointed hotels, not to mention one of the most luxurious, in the Argentinean Lake District. Guest rooms in the main lodge are furnished in opulent traditional style, many with spectacular views of the lake, whilst the new Moreno Wing continues the luxury, but with a contemporary feel.
The Cesares restaurant serves fantastic local and international cuisine and there is a fabulous spa offering the perfect way to relax and unwind. The hotel also boasts one of the world’s best 18 hole golf courses. The Llao Llao mountain lodge offers the perfect base from which to enjoy a day's skiing (late June to September). Conveniently located at the base of Mount Catedral, the property provides a light lunch for guests at the hotel, help with ski equipment rental and ski instructors are available on request.

The Llao Llao features 205 guest rooms and suites divided between the main lodge and the Moreno Wing, many with spectacular views of the lake. All rooms are equipped with minibar, telephone, cable TV and safety box.

Children are welcomed at the Llao Llao. Connecting and adjoining rooms are available for families. There is a crèche for 6 month to 3 yr olds and a kids club for ages 3–12yrs, offering a variety of recreational, sporting and ecological activities.

Activities available for an additional charge include canoeing, guided hikes, horse riding, sailing from March to October, windsurfing, rafting, water skiing and skiing from June to September.
When to travel
The Lake District is beautiful in spring (October) and autumn (March) and fresher in these months than during the height of summer. Between October and April is the best time to visit, although skiing is good from July to September. Winter is usually pretty mild.
