Description

Los Potreros is a 6,000-acre working cattle ranch and has remained in the same Anglo-Argentine family for 4 generations. The estancia is very secluded at an altitude of 3000ft, nestled between the Pampas and the towering Andes.

Accommodation is simple yet comfortable and cosy. En-suite rooms are all individually furnished with gorgeous antiques and there are fireplaces for those colder winter nights. The hacienda's chef will cook you some fantastic European cuisine using home grown organic vegetables and fruit. They even have their "own label" wine to accompany meals.

The horses are all bred on the farm and are of good temperament, sure footed and in excellent condition. Polo lessons can be combined with long or short distance horseback trail rides offering guests the unique opportunity to live and breathe the gaucho life. Other activities include charming walks in the surrounding countryside, visits to local wineries and bird watching. At the end of the day enjoy fabulous food under candle light back at the farm.

Accommodation

Los Potreros provides 7 simple yet comfortable guest rooms with private bathrooms. The rooms have their own log fires and wood-burning stoves, giving them a cosy feel.

Childcare

Children are made very welcome at Los Potreros and it is an ideal destination for families who enjoy the outdoors. The pool is great for children and there are vast areas of countryside to be explored around the estancia.

Facilities

Facilities at the estancia include a polo field and an outdoor swimming pool. Meals are served in the cosy dining area and feature many organic ingredients grown on the ranch.

Activities

There is a whole host of activities on offer at Estancia Los Potreros including horse riding, polo, gaucho farm works, golf, trekking, bird watching and wine tasting.
