Description

Situated on one of the most sought-after avenues in Recoleta, Mio Buenos Aires captivates you from the moment you open the six-metre high French oak door.

Mio's 30 rooms and suites range from 50 to a vast 100 square metres, all appointed with fine materials such as French oak recycled from wine barrels, marble, high quality linens and state-of-the-art technology such as flat screen TVs. The rooms are light and airy and incredibly spacious for a city boutique hotel. There are also many surprise touches from 'on-tap' wines and extraordinary bathtubs, which have been hand-crafted from individual tree trunks.

There is an innovative restaurant Tô, known for being the first and only restaurant to serve Frapanese cuisine in Argentina (French/Japanese fusion), and the Mio Lounge attracts the local in- crowd for a relaxing drink and tapas. Mio's 8th Spa has a lap pool, a couple of treatments rooms and steam bath.

There are fabulous designer boutiques lining the exclusive avenues within walking distance of Mio as well as Parisian-style cafes, which are great for people watching and the famous Recoleta cemetery where Evita Peron is buried. Venture further afield and there is the Plaza de Mayo, and the San Telmo district with its famous Sunday antiques market and impromptu tango displays. By night go tango dancing in the milongas, head to one of the city's hip night spots or die and go to heaven at one of the fabulous parilla restaurant's to sample the best steak you have ever tasted
