Buenos Aires and the Pampas

With its French classical architecture, pavement cafes and exclusive boutiques, Buenos Aires makes a beautiful city. The main sights include the splendid Teatro Colon opera house; and Plaza de Mayo, where the presidential palace is located, known as the Casa Rosada (pink house). There are hundreds of restaurants and cafes serving delicious food, the most famous being the huge parillas (steak houses) where you can sit and indulge, the sound of fiery Tango in the background. Outside of the city are the vast grassy plains of the Argentine Pampas where you can go horse-riding or walking across the beautiful landscape, away from the buzz of Buenos Aires.
