Description

The Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa is an atmospheric, 4* rated, family orientated hotel. Built in the traditional, North American chateau style, it enjoys a premium location in the village. Beaver Creek Mountain itself, boasts 146 runs and has access to Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead Ski resorts.

There are 190 stylishly furnished rooms and suites, with lots of interconnecting possibilities for those with families, and the restaurants cater for all ages and tastes. The staff are welcoming, knowledgeable and extremely helpful, making sure you have a truly great skiing holiday - from ensuring warmed and dried ski boots await you each morning to providing fresh cookies at the end of each fun-filled day.

The hotel has a good selection of restaurants and bars. The 8100 Mountainside Bar & Grill is a venue specialising in local, natural and organic dishes featuring Colorado’s best microbrews, wines and spirits. The Cafe deli offers gourmet meats and cheeses, fresh fruits and salads and picnics-to-go. At the end of each day, guests can enjoy complimentary S'mores Happy Hour held from 4-5 pm at the fire pit. McCoy's located at the base of the Centennial Lift is idea for breakfast or lunch, or an après ski cocktail listening to live music. And Bivans Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a relaxed, informal atmosphere, featuring an outdoor terrace enjoying spectacular views. The Antler Hall is a relaxing place to sit round the fire for a drink and entertainment in this favourite Beaver Creek spot.

Children are beautifully catered for here. With the hotel's location right next to the children's gondola, to the concierge helping with boots and skis each morning and instructors coming direct to the door, nothing could be easier.

Accommodation

The Park Hyatt has an extensive variety of room types, with facilities including 24 hour room service, video on demand, concierge during regular hours, connecting rooms and balconies by request (based on availability), LCD TV, Cable/satellite TV channels, robes, high-speed Internet access, individual heat control, in-room safe, cot on request and mini bar.

Childcare

The Park Hyatt is an ideal place for families. "Camp Hyatt" has been set up to look after children from three to 12 years old, with certified nannies and age appropriate activities. Ski instructors come to the hotel to pick up children for their lessons and the hotel's concierge helps with putting on boots and sorting out their skis. The hotel is right next to the children's gondola. Day care can be booked for half or full days, to include lunch, and children are encouraged to take part in lots of outdoor activities.

The restaurants have children's menus and everywhere is open early if children want to eat earlier. Babysitting can also be arranged. There are many interconnecting rooms and suites for families. And if you're travelling with small babies, the hotel is fully equipped with everyone you should need, from organic baby food to nappies and baby monitors. Just tell us what you'd like, and we'll order it all in advance for you.

Facilities

The hotel offers a wide range of services and facilities. The Allegria Spa should be visited at least once during your stay, with its tempting list of relaxing treatments. The hotel also has a dedicated ski concierge who'll have your dried and warmed boots ready for you each morning.

When to travel

Beaver Creek is at high altitude - the air is dry and thin and it can get very cold. Thermals and neck warmers are advised.

How to get there

A 10 hour flight from the UK to Denver, followed by an hour's internal flight direct to Vail/Eagle County Airport, or a 3 hour car transfer.
