Description

The Four Seasons Whistler captures the spirit of a luxurious mountain residence, in one of North America’s top mountain resorts and the home of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. The Hotel has recently been awarded the prestigious AAA Five Diamond Award®, reflecting ultimate luxury and sophistication apparent throughout the hotel. This can be seen in the Hotel’s services such as the ski concierge who will arrange your equipment and have it prepared and ready for you for each day on the slopes.

Relax in the large guest rooms, designed in a cosy, wooden lodge style with stone fireplaces and superb views of the mountains and surrounding forests from a private balcony or terrace. The bathrooms are spacious and luxurious.

After a hard day on the slopes, enjoy the world-class spa with fifteen treatment rooms providing a superb choice of therapies including massage (also available in room), hydro-therapy, couples treatments and beauty therapy. The luxurious treatments use the most natural products including seaweed, fresh fruits, wild flowers, pure essential oils and clay harvested from British Columbia’s glacial lakes. Those looking for an après-ski warm down can also make use of the complimentary fully equipped gym and the beautiful outdoor free-form swimming pool. Alternatively, relax in the heated pool or have a cocktail in the hot tub.

The Four Seasons Whistler has a fantastic restaurant, Fifty Two 80 Bistro (named after the number of feet which can be skied on Blackcomb Mountain’s vertical mile). Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, guests can enjoy the fabulous views of the surrounding mountains sat beside a roaring fire. Alternatively, take the short walk into Whistler and sample the resort’s many bars and restaurants.

Accommodation

The Four Seasons Resort in Whistler features 273 guest rooms, suites and townhouses. Rooms are large, designed in a cosy, wooden lodge style with stone fireplaces and superb views of the mountains and surrounding forests from a private balcony or terrace. The bathrooms are spacious and luxurious.

Childcare

Children are welcome at the Four Seasons Resort Whistler. Child sized bath robes and slippers, Kids and Teens menu and china in the restaurants, in room dining options for 9 -18 yr olds and a Babysitting service. Children’s Program “Kidding around” – evening entertainment. The resort has fantastic winter and summer programmes providing a wealth of activities for kids of all ages.

Activities

Complimentary activities include use of the outdoor pool, whirlpool, steam room, and gym. Paid activities include spa treatments, ski pass, ski hire, ski lessons etc. Aside from skiing, during the winter months snowshoeing, sleigh rides, skating and glacier skiing are also available. In spring and summer, the natural landscape challenges visitors with mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, rafting, mountaineering and championship golf.

When to travel

British Columbia benefits from some of the most regular and the deepest snowfalls anywhere in the world. The average seasonal snowfall at 1600m (5000 feet) is a spectacular 25 metres (75 feet), four or five times the average in most areas of the Alps. Winter temperatures average about 0°C during the day and -6°C overnight in the village with snow typically on the ground from Dec into April. Summers days can be quite warm, with temperatures reaching the high 20s.

How to get there

10 hour flight to Vancouver International Airport. Four Seasons Resort Whistler is a 2.5 hour transfer by car from Vancouver.
