Description

This fantastic tropical retreat by Orient Express is located next to the world's second largest reef surrounded by 200 acres of jungle and plantation preserve.

The 65 guest rooms and suites are decorated in a traditional Mexican style with handpainted tiles, mahogany furnishings and soft wool rugs. Bathrooms are well appointed with luxurious sunken baths and thatched roof terraces offer stunning views of the ocean and jungle.

Guests can enjoy excellent Yucatan inspired cuisine served in an oceanfront dining area or under the thatched palapa on the beach. By night the beachfront dining area is illuminated by candles and torches. The spa and wellness centre offers a range of spa and beauty treatments including facials, massages, yoga and reiki.

Given its privelaged beach location, one can enjoy a long list of water sports and even go whale watching from December to March. If you are keen to improve your local linguistics, guests an also opt to wear a bracelet which indicates to the staff that you want to converse in Spanish, with a little guidance when needed of course.
