Las Alamanda is located 2 hours south of Puerto Vallarta on Mexico’s Pacific coast in the province of Jalisco which is prime tequila country.
This luxurious resort consists of 7 individually designed villas set around an open plaza and stunning tropical gardens. Each villa has been decorated using the vibrant colours synonymous with Mexico and furnished with natural fabrics. Rooms are adorned with local folk art and handicrafts to give an authentic Mexican feel. Villas are also equipped with beautiful bathrooms with oversized tubs and showers, private terraces and spacious living and dining areas.
The restaurant located on the beach serves a variety of delicious Mexican and international dishes. One can also relax in the resort's tropical tequila and margarita bar.
There are floodlit tennis courts, a 60-foot swimming pool, gym and access to horse riding and hiking trails, as well as a range of water sports. Health and beauty treatments are available and a golf course is located close by.

When to travel
The rainy summer season lasts from June to October, when it can be very hot and humid. The best month to visit is November, when the surrounding countryside is verdant after the summer rains. January and February is whale-watching season. Come between November and March to see nesting and hatching turtles, from December to March if you want to watch dolphins and whales, or in April to spot giant manta rays.

How to get there
11.5 hour international flight to Benito Juárez International Airport, Mexico City, followed by a 1hour 20 minute domestic flight to Puerto Vallarta. Las Alamandas is a 2 hour car transfer from the airport.
