Coastal Lowlands

Relax and unwind on Belize’s beautiful Caribbean coast with miles of sandy beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, outstanding dive sites and incredible fishing. The sleepy village of Placencia to the south is home to some of mainland Belize’s best beaches, which dissolve into an underwater world of unspoiled coral reefs. There are no streets as such, just a network of footpaths and wooden houses under the palms, and the atmosphere is decidedly laid back and welcoming. A little way inland you will find the Maya mountains and dense jungle reserves.
