Cayes

Hundreds of cayes dot the shimmering aquamarine waters off the coast of Belize, some of which are uninhabited, and others, such as Ambergris Caye, with small communities, cosy restaurants and lovely boutique hotels. The atmosphere is decidedly laid back. Enjoy time relaxing by the beach or the hotel pool, or take a snorkelling or diving trip to explore the magnificent coral reef, the second largest in the world. For those looking for something extra special, a diving trip can be taken to the famous Blue Hole. Fishing around the cayes is also world class.
