The Calabash is located on Lance aux Epines Beach in the South of Grenada, overlooking picturesque Prickly Bay.
The hotel consists of 30 air-conditioned suites, some with private plunge pools, set in a horseshoe within beautiful landscaped gardens. Breakfast is served on your private patio or balcony with splendid views across the lawns, lunch can be taken at the beach bar and dinner is served at Rhodes Restaurant which enjoys a superb reputation as one of the best in Grenada.
Guests have complimentary use of windsurfing, sunfish and snorkelling equipment as well as reduced green fees at Grenada Golf Club. The new Heaven and Earth spa also offers guests an array of absorbing and relaxing treatments. Calabash also offers a small selection of private villas, individual in style, with wonderful views and private pools. Intimate, private and relaxing, the Calabash offers gourmet cuisine and high standards of personal service.
Activities at an additional charge include off site golf, scuba diving, spa treatments, parasailing, deep-sea fishing, island excursions including rainforest walks and St George’s market, whale watching and south coast sailing.

The Calabash Hotel features 30 suites in ten buildings, arranged in a horseshoe within 8 acres of tropical gardens. 5 villas with between two and five bedrooms. All suites include: walk in wardrobes, air-conditioning, flat screen TV with DVD player, iPod docking station, wifi, minibar, towels and bathrobes, Elemis toiletries, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer and safe. Some suites also have private pools and small private gardens whilst all suites include either balconies or patios where breakfast is served by the maid.
| Junior | The Junior Suites have dramatic views over the garden to the sea that can be viewed from the balcony, and a lovely airy interior with high ceilings and the sea light. The bedroom has a king size bed and the bathroom boasts a whirlpool bath, separate shower and WC, as well as being well stocked with luxury Elemis toiletries. | Pool Suite | The Pool Suites boast relaxing views of the beautifully manicured gardens and the sea beyond, which can be viewed from a large patio that is also where breakfast will be served in the morning. The main feature of these suites is their private pool surrounded by high walls decorated by artwork by local artists, and finished with a luxurious outdoor shower. The bedroom has a king size bed and the bathroom boasts a whirlpool bath, separate shower and WC, as well as being well stocked with luxury Elemis toiletries. These suites also have a separate large, bright and airy lounge area with French doors separating this living area from the bedroom. | Thorneycroft | Thorneycroft is the signature suite of the Calabash Grenada and as such represents the height of luxury. The suite boasts relaxing views of the beautifully manicured gardens and the sea beyond, which can be viewed from a large patio that is also where breakfast will be served in the morning. One of the main features of the suite is the private pool outside surrounded by wooden decking and private garden, and finished with a luxurious outdoor shower. The bedroom has a four poster king size bed and the bathroom has twin vanities, a double whirlpool bath, separate double shower and WC, as well as being well stocked with luxury Elemis toiletries. These suites also have a separate large, bright and airy lounge area with French doors separating this living area from the bedroom, and a kitchen to aid with the preparation with meals. Other features include: walk in wardrobes, air conditioning, flat screen TV with DVD player, iPod docking station, wifi, minibar, towels and bathrobes, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer and safe. This suite can also be connected to a suite below with a spiral staircase to make a two bedroom suite within the hotel suitable for providing for the whole family. |
| West Side | The West Side Suites boast the best views of the beach and the sea beyond that can be viewed from the balcony or a patio which also allows access to the beach. These suites also have a separate lounge area. Childcare
All children are welcome throughout the year to come and stay except from 15 Jan – 15 Mar when only children 12 years and over are accepted. There are no specific facilities but for children under 6 years, evening meals are available in the restaurant from 6.00pm to 7.00pm.

When to travel
Grenada maintains balmy tropical temperatures almost all year long, with an average hovering around 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Grenada's rainy season lasts from June to November, when rain falls an average of about 22 days per month. Grenada's dry season falls between November and May, which is also the high tourism season in the Caribbean.
If a quieter, more peaceful vacation is in your sights, then avoid visiting during popular festivities, like the annual drum festival at Tivoli. If you're in search of a more up-beat environment, Carnival is one of the biggest and most popular events in the Caribbean. In Grenada, Carnival is celebrated on the second week of August.

The Calabash Hotel is set in a secluded bay on the Caribbean island of Grenada. Situated on L'Anse Aux Épines beach, 20 minutes from the capital St George’s and 10 minutes from the Grenada Golf Course.
How to get there
10-hour 30-minute international flight (1 stop) to Maurice Bishop International Airport (formerly Point Salines International Airport). The Calabash Hotel is a 10-minute drive from the airport.
