Peter Island is a private island situated only twenty minutes by boat from Tortola, the capital of the British Virgin Islands.
The island is idyllic with five beaches, hidden coves, bluffs and miles of walking and cycling trails. Peter Island Resort has 52 rooms set around the main beach and harbour. The rooms are furnished in natural woods and fabrics, and all have a private patio or balcony with views over the harbour, swimming pool or sea. Private villas are also available that feature an infinity-edge pool, dipping pool and large outdoor whirlpool, a media room, elegant dining room, personal staff including valet, chef, housekeeper and grounds person, and a chauffeur-driven vehicle. There is a state-of-the-art spa boasting 10 indoor treatment rooms, 2 outdoor bohios, fitness centre and jacuzzi. Signature indigenous wraps, facials and massages are available along with wellness and healing therapies such as acupuncture.
The dining is superb with two restaurants serving contemporary Caribbean dishes and seafood. The activities on Peter Island include snorkelling, hobiecat sailing, sea kayaking, windsurfing, cycling, and hiking.
