Description

Following an extensive refurbishment last year, Jumby Bay has re-opened its doors. The resort is on a 300-acre private island just two miles north of Antigua.

This luxurious all-inclusive hideaway features 40 suites and 11 two, three and four bedroom villas with their own pools. Each suite comes complete with a bicycle for each guest or a golf cart for the villas. Amenities include sumptuous Italian linens, a 42" flat-screen TV with NXTV system, iPod docking station, Bose sound system for CDs/DVDs, complimentary high-speed Internet with WiFi, mini bar, in-room safe, individual air-conditioning and ceiling fan controls, Lady Primrose bath amenities, and a Nespresso coffee machine.

There are three restaurants offering a range of Caribbean and Mediterranean cuisine and the original 230 year old manor house is home to one of the restaurants. Accommodation is on an all-inclusive basis which includes all meals and drinks by the glass, including Champagne.

Guests can enjoy a variety of water sports including snorkelling, water skiing, windsurfing and sailing off the island’s pristine white sand beaches, which are also home to the Jumby Bay Hawksbill Turtle Project. This elegant resort is ideal for couples and families wanting a peaceful and quiet setting.

£4,595 per person for 7 nights, based on two people sharing a Rondavel Room on an All Inclusive basis, including British Airways flights and transfers.

Jumbo Bay offers 40 suites and 11 villas. In addition, there are 2, 3 & 4 bedroom Harbour Villas and Estate Homes available. Childcare

Children are welcome at Jumby Bay. Camp Jumby Children's Club for children aged 3 - 12 years of age. Rose Buds activity programme offers a wealth of activities and fun for the children. Children's menus available. Nannies and babysitting are available on request but at an additional charge.

Facilities at Jumbo Bay include 3 restaurants, bar, 2 swimming pools, 3 tennis courts, gym, croquet lawn, putting green and Sense Spa featuring 6 treatment rooms, beauty salon, yoga and Pilates pavilion and offers personalised treatment programmes using natural, local ingredients.

Activities

Complimentary activities include use of the swimming pool, sailing, windsurfing, snorkelling, sail boarding, tennis, gym, bicycles, croquet and putting green and nightly movies. Activities at an additional charge include off-site scuba diving, golf available on mainland Antigua, deep-sea fishing, tennis lessons, day sailing, pilates, beauty and massage, sightseeing excursions and island tours.

When to travel

Peak season is December through to April but it's still good to travel to Antigua throughout the summer months. Although, June to November is considered to be hurricane season with the hottest temperatures, the weather is known to be fairly accommodating with the high humid temperatures starting up in September through November.
