Description

Blue Waters offers a relaxed Caribbean style resort, set amongst 17 acres of lush tropical gardens leading down to two secluded white sand beaches. Set in an enviable position, just 15 minutes from the airport, the resort is the perfect get away from it all choice. Choose from a variety of guests rooms and suites as well as one, two and three bedroom villas, many of which offer enviable elevated positions with glorious views out to the Caribbean sea.

Guests enjoy every comfort including a landscaped swimming pool with generous terraces and sea views, plus a number of complimentary activities including non motorised water sports, tennis and a fitness centre. There is also an 18 hole golf course just a short drive away. Dining is a pleasure with a choice of three restaurants serving local and international cuisine, and fine dining can be experienced in the exclusive Cove restaurant.

The brand new Blue Waters Spa has recently opened offering a choice of sumptuous treatments and many treatment rooms opening out to magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea.

Blue Waters features 10 Superior Hillside Rooms, 57 Deluxe Beachfront Rooms, 3 Hillside Junior Suites, 3 Beachfront Junior Suites, 2 Luxury Suites, 3 One, Two and Three Bedroom Beachfront Villas, 24 Cove Suites, 4 Cove Penthouse and Rock Cottage.

Childcare

Children are accepted and activities are organised for an hour each day from Monday to Friday (beach cricket, magic sessions and crafts). Babysitting is available on request at an additional charge and there is also a children's menu.

Facilities at Blue Waters include 3 restaurants, 4 bars, sun beds, umbrellas & beach towels, 3 swimming pools, tennis court, fitness centre, spa, games room and gift shop.

Activities

Complimentary activities include swimming pool, windsurfing, kayaking, snorkelling, Hobie Cats, tennis, fitness centre and some exercise classes. Activities at an additional charge include use of the spa and beauty salon, private fitness instruction, golf, water skiing, horse riding, boat excursions, deep sea fishing, parasailing and helicopter tours.

When to travel

Peak season is December through to April but it's still good to travel to Antigua throughout the summer months. Although, June to November is considered to be hurricane season with the hottest temperatures, the weather is known to be fairly accommodating with the high humid temperatures starting up in September through November.

Location and directions

Antigua, Caribbean

Blue Waters is wrapped around Soldiers Bay, one of Antigua’s most exclusive residential areas, and means that guests enjoy unrivalled privacy. On the cusp of the Caribbean Sea, the hotel’s bay provides calm and quiet waters for swimming. The west facing orientation gives guests the enjoyment of the sun's rays all day, as well as some of the Caribbean’s most breathtaking sunset views.

How to get there

On the northeast corner of Antigua, V.C. Bird International Airport is the point of entry for visitors arriving by air (9 hour flight). Blue Waters is approximately 15 minutes from the International airport.
