Description
Hunter’s is an exclusive family-owned retreat, set in the heart of the magnificent Garden Route of the Western Cape. Situated 10kms west of South Africa’s premier resort town of Plettenburg Bay with its endless golden beaches, and just 20kms east of the lagoon town of Knysna, the hotel is surrounded by rich indigenous forests and framed by the majestic mountains of the Tsitsikamma Forest. The gracious, original homestead with its white walls and thatched roof is reminiscent of the traditional country architecture of the region and the 21 suites and cottages are spread out around the extensive gardens as well as in the main house. Each is individually decorated and designed with comfort and privacy in mind.
Set in the magnificent gardens with a spectacular view of the Outeniqua Mountains, the Summer House provides an attractive alternative to the more formal dining rooms offering innovative, informal meals for families and couples with a focus on fresh wholesome cuisine. There also a fantastic wine cellar.
Hunter’s is a good choice for families and offers a variety of activities for children, overseen by a team of professionals in childcare.
