Okavango Delta and Moremi

The renowned Okavango Delta is an incredible natural phenomenon, the result of the Okavango River which flows inland from Angola. Entering Botswana in the northeast, the river fans out into a multitude of waterways and flood plains, creating a fertile habitat for a diverse wildlife population. The Moremi National Park is a huge tract of land sandwiched between the Savuti channel and the Okavango Delta. The area is fabulously varied with wide open flood plains, lily covered lagoons, groves of mahogany and open forest.
