Villa Makassar comprises of ten large, uniquely designed bedrooms fashioned with art deco period pieces from around the world. All with luxury bathrooms, all very different and all finished beautifully. If you have an interest in Art Deco or you are looking for something different then you will find this Riad simply fascinating. The charming owner is often at the hotel so if you get the chance, ask him to show you some of the wonderful artefacts on display throughout the hotel which he has spent the last 12 years collecting from around the world.
If you appreciate good food the resident Moroccan chef prepares some excellent meals for lunch and dinner. The roof top terrace is spacious with lots of scattered day beds for relaxing in the sunshine or sipping juices from the roof top bar. It is also a great place to dine on a warm Moroccan evening.
The luxury hammam and spa is slick and exciting. The small indoor pool is lit by stylish coloured lighting creating a calming atmosphere and also boasts a current system allowing you to swim at whatever level you require. There is also a large out door swimming pool that is secluded by an ancient medina wall that is hundreds of years old.

The ten rooms and suites are inspired by influential artists from the 1920's and 30's. All rooms have been meticulously designed and tastefully decorated to the highest standards, combining the timeless elegance of Art Deco with modern high-tech facilities such as flat screen TVs, DVD players and internet access. Suites have the addition of a marble fireplace, lounge area and balcony.
Childcare
Children are very welcome at Villa Makassar and there is a 2 bedroom family suite (made up of adjoining suites) which is perfect for those travelling with children. Children's meals and babysitting can be arranged on request.

At Villa Makassar there are no restrictions on where or when you eat - meals can be taken at the restaurant, by the pool, on the terrace or in your room, and the emphasis is on freshly sourced ingredients and delicate flavours. Activities
Villa Makassar is perfectly positioned for discovering Marrakech's medina - its souks, palaces and museums are all close by and can easily be reached on foot. There are three golf courses minutes way by car as well as the delights of the Atlas Mountains which are easily reachable as a day trip.
When to travel
Weather-wise, the best times to go are spring and autumn, when temperatures are 20°C to 25°C by day and at least 10°C by night, and November to February, with cooler nights but similar daytime temperatures and light rainfall possible. The weather in March and April features sporadic, light rainfall with some sandstorms in April, while June sees dusty siroccos (desert winds) sweep through the city. From mid-June to August temperatures rise into the 30s and occasionally 40s.
