Description
Once you enter through the front door of La Sultana, the noise from the hustle and bustle of the medina disappears. Five riads have been combined to create this luxury boutique hotel, with its extraordinary rooms and panoramic views from the expansive roof terraces over the Royal Palaces.
There are 28 sophisticated rooms and suites that spread out across the property and each has been styled with a different theme in mind, such as the safari room with its animal print furnishings and African touches. Whichever room you have you are sure to feel pampered beyond belief - the attention to detail the hotel puts into ensuring the comfort of its guests is second to none.
A magnificent rooftop terrace overlooks the ancient Tombs of the Saadian Kings and out across to the beautiful Atlas Mountains in the distance. You can enjoy breakfast or lunch here and watch the sun rise as the city of Marrakech comes alive.
If you are looking to be pampered after a long day haggling in the souk, then a traditional hammam treatment at La Sultana spa will have you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated in no time. They have a fairly large sized swimming pool if you wanted to do some lengths and the spa offers a wide range of treatments; anything from hydrotherapy to aromatherapy.
The hotel offers great food, using fresh ingredients that have been inspired by Mediterranean and Oriental influences. Dinner is often served around the pool area softly lit by candlelight, which can make for a very romantic evening.
La Sultana offers something different for guests who want the riad experience but with some of the amenities of a larger hotel in the heart of the Medina.
Accommodation
La Sultana's 13 Prestige and Deluxe Rooms and 14 Junior, Classic and Deluxe Suites are all spread out between the five riads which have now been merged to form this palace-like property. Every modern comfort has been considered from DVD and CD players to warming open fires for chilly evenings and rooms are adorned with antiques and fine art with sculpted or high vaulted ceilings, and marble, copper, tadelakt and precious woods being used throughout.

Children are welcome at La Sultana but there are no specific facilities for them other than the swimming pool. Babysitting and children's meals can be arranged and the hotel will do their best to help with any specific requests.
