When to travel
Soma Bay enjoys year-round sunshine. Winters are temperate, with daytime temperatures averaging in the low to mid 20º C. Summer temperatures average in the low 30º C. Rainfall is very rare at Soma Bay. In summer, a dry breeze keeps the climate comfortable and temperatures moderate. Dry desert wind keeps humidity levels low. Soma Bay is blessed with an unbeatable combination of low humidity and maximum mean temperatures in the mid 30º C. As a result, Soma Bay is comfortable year-round, even in summer; more so than most Mediterranean destinations. Because it is located on the Western side of the Red Sea, summers at Soma Bay are also far more comfortable than at many other resort destinations on the Red Sea.
