Description
Silhouette is the third-largest island in the Seychelles and a marine national park, Silhouette Island is regarded by conservationists as one of the most important biodiversity sanctuaries of the Indian Ocean. Jurassic mountain cliffs enshrouded in mist. Smooth granite boulders festooned with fresh young leaves in all shades of green with stretches of powdery white sand and crystal clear water.
Labriz is a Seychelles Creole word derived from the French phrase ‘la brise’ or ‘the breeze’. It is an all villa hotel located on the island of Silhouette along a two-kilometre stretch of wild beach. The 93 villas and 17 pavilions are tucked amongst the tropical vegetation and are all of contemporary design, featuring their own outdoor showers. For the ultimate in luxury, the pavilions have their own 6.5 x 3 metre pool and a separate pavilion for spa treatments or a romantic dinner. Labriz also offers guests the opportunity to be at one with nature. A marine national park, Silhouette Island shelters a huge diversity of flora and fauna, from fruit bats to pitcher plants, incense trees to Coco-de-mer. Labriz has taken a pro-active role in the preservation of Silhouette island's biodiversity, under the guidance of the Nature Protection Trust of Seychelles (NPTS).
Visit the island's Giant Tortoise sanctuary and meet its most majestic inhabitants, some of which are over 120 years old. Embark on a series of nature walks and let a world of natural wonders surprise you. Adventurous trekking tours take you through the tropical jungle and along the island’s spice trail, and afterwards you can relax at the Aquum Spa.

When to travel
Situated just south of the equator, the Seychelles have a warm tropical climate. The consistently warm tropical weather makes the Seychelles a good year round destination.
There is little fluctuation in warmth, with temperatures ranging from 24C to 31C all year round. From May to October a southeast trade wind can bring marginally cooler weather and fresh breezes. From November to March the northwest monsoon wind blows, typically raising temperature and humidity. December and January are the wettest months, but the rain falls in short sharp bursts before the sun comes out again.
