Paradis Hotel and Golf Club is set on the spectacular Le Morne Peninsula, between the dramatic Le Morne peak and one of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius. This luxury hotel covers a 150-hectare estate bordered by 7 km of protected beaches and the largest lagoon in Mauritius. Therefore providing perfectly safe clear waters for a range of water sports including water-skiing, windsurfing, kayaks, pedal boats and snorkelling.
The resort has a total of 286 guest rooms with 10 different room types. There are 40 Superior Rooms, 60 Deluxe Rooms, 120 Junior Suites, 54 Junior Suite Beachfront, 4 Deluxe Suites, 8 Senior Suites, 12 Executive Villas and 1 Presidential Villa . Family Suites and Luxury Family Suites are available on request.
Four restaurants (and another four at the sister hotel Dinarobin) offer an eclectic mix of international and Mauritian cuisine. The resort has a golf club, Golf du Chateau and an International championship golf course which is 18-hole par 72. The water sports available include waterskiing, windsurfing, kayaking, pedal boat, glass bottom boat, snorkelling and sailing. Its also possible to arrange suba diving and deep-see fishing. There are 6 flood lit tennis courts and a spa and gymnasium so plenty on offer to keep all ages and stages entertained. The Bob Marlin kids club welcomes children from 3 to 12 year old and has a range of age relevant daily activities.

Childcare
Children are most welcome at Paradis Hotel, a mini club for children 3 to 12 years is located at the heart of the hotel, close to the main areas. The decor and atmosphere evoke the traditional Gaul village of Astérix, the famous character of the series of French comic strips. The mini-club has its own restaurant, TV, large play area, bouncy castle and no pool.

Kids under three years are accepted, provided they are accompanied by their parents or a baby-sitter employed by the hotel.
Facilities
There are nine restaurants and bars to chose from at the resort. The Mini club cares for children from 3 to 12 years old with daily activities. The hotel has an 18-hole international golf course as well as a golf academy welcoming beginners and seasoned golfers alike. Other facilities include 6 floodlit tennis courts, an infirmary, sports centre, Wi-Fi, departure lounge with showers and dressing rooms and 24 hour shuttle service between Paradis and Dinarobin.

Activities, most of which are complimentary, include: water-skiing, windsurfing, kayaks, pedal boats, glass bottom boat trips, snorkelling, sailing, gym, swimming pool, fitness centre, sauna and steam, bicycle riding, bocciball, football,Volley-ball, table tennis, trekking and tennis (6 floodlit courts).
Other activities that can be arranged are scuba-diving, deep-sea fishing and boat excursions.

When to travel
Mauritius enjoys a typically tropical climate with year-round heat, although the southeast trade winds help it never to feel too muggy. The summer months are from December to April, when it can nevertheless be extremely humid, and the winter, such as it is, runs from May to November, and is cooler and drier.
The best months to visit Mauritius are May to early December. January and February, the peak cyclone months, are best avoided by water-sports enthusiasts and divers. Cyclones rarely hit Mauritius (although Rodrigues has suffered far more regularly than the mainland) but cyclones way out at sea can bring days of squally rain.
Coastal temperatures range between 25°C and 33°C in summer and between 18°C and 24°C in winter. On the plateau it will be some 5°C cooler. The highlands are also the wettest part of the island – it can rain here at any time of year, and even when it’s not raining the area can be cloaked in low-lying cloud. When the winds are at their strongest in July and August it can be blustery on the east coast, though the breeze brings welcome relief in summer.
Apart from the Christmas-New Year peak, Mauritius doesn’t really have high and low seasons. The situation is more dependent on outside factors (such as the French school holidays, which cause a big increase in demand and prices in August).

Paradis enjoys a superb location on the island’s South-western tip. Situated on the Morne Peninsula, the resort is set against the backdrop of the iconic Le Morne Mountain and edges onto one of the most scenic shorelines on the island.
How to get there
Mauritius can be accessed by a 12-hour international flight from London airport Heathrow. It is also a 4-hour flight from Johannesburg, or a 6-hour flight with from Dubai. The airport is located in the south of Mauritius, and the main method of transport is by taxi or private car when on the island. The western coast of Mauritius is a 45km drive from the airport.
