North Coast

The spectacular scenery of the north coast has to be seen to be believed, with warm azure green waters and powdery, soft white sand under the shade of tropical palm trees. As the wind generally blows offshore, the beaches and lagoons are nicely sheltered, making the northern region a good choice for the windy winter months, and ideal for snorkelling, sailing and fishing. The North also has at least two inland places of interest, which are "La Nicoliere" drive and the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden.
