Oyster Bay is located 45 minutes from Dar es Salaam airport and is a haven of peace in the city, a serene spot in which to gather your senses before or after your safari in Tanzania or en-route to the Quirimbas Archipelago in northern Mozambique.
The Oyster Bay is a beautiful large home and garden with eight ocean facing guest suites, all have luxurious bathrooms, air-conditioning and are fabulously furnished in contemporary African style. There are extensive lounges and terraces overlooking mature gardens and the swimming pool and the hotel is within secure walking distance of the Oyster Bay shopping centre.

Accommodation
The Oyster Bay has eight spacious ocean facing suites with balconies situated on three floors. The suites are furnished with either king sized or twin beds and have lounge furnishing as well as writing desks and plasma screen televisions. The ensuite bathrooms are open plan and contain a free-standing bath, walk through shower and enclosed toilet facility.

Children are very welcome at Oyster Bay however there are no specific facilities.
Facilities
The lounges and dining areas flow out on to a covered verandah from where you can enjoy the spacious and contemporary designed garden. There is a study with internet access and all areas are air-conditioned for the hotter more humid months. There is a fifteen-meter lap pool in the garden and a combination of pool decks and sun bathing and shady areas.
Meals are served on the verandah, in the dining area and on the pool deck depending on time of day and weather conditions.
When to travel
Tanzania is a large country, with a varied climate. Generally, the long rains run from March to May - the temperature is warm and the humidity is high. June to October is the long dry season, and the short rains are in November and December, much lighter than the long rains. January and February are again dry (the short dry season) so this is another good time to visit.

The Oyster Bay is located in the centre of the Oyster Bay area of Dar es Salaam facing the ocean on Tourre Drive. It is a fifteen minute drive from the centre of the city.
How to get there
8.5 hour international flight to Dar es Salaam International Airport. At the airport you will be met by one of Oyster Bay's own chauffeurs, who will drive you the thirty minutes from the airports to Oyster Bay.
