Serian Camp is one of my favourite camps in the Maasai Mara. I stayed here for just 24 hours and completely fell in the love with the place. The camp is owned and run (most of the time) by the passionate and incredibly knowledgeable Kenyan, Alex Walker - he is absolutely fascinating to listen to and is also a superb photographer so can help those photographic enthusiasts. The guides are all hugely enthusiastic and great fun! The camp is set in a completely private reserve just outside the Maasai Mara which in itself has a huge number of resident game. The privacy of the reserve means you can have game drives without seeing another vehicle which is a real rareity in the Maasai Mara. Serian really encourages people to stay longer than the normal three or four night stay in the Maasai Mara as they offer fly camping, amazing walking trips, photography excursions and many more exciting experiences to really make the most of your stay in the Mara.
