I love Rekero’s position in the Mara, tucked away on the banks of the Talek River. The tented rooms are simple but well spaced out and very comfortable and all have views over the river onto the plains. But you really stay at Rekero for the fantastic guides and a chance to explore the Maasai Mara with people who know and love the area and know how to escape the crowds. The food is fantastic farmhouse style and meals are all eaten at a big family table with interesting discussions about what has been seen that day on game activities.
