I love Rekero’s position in the Mara, tucked away on the banks of the Talek River. The tented rooms are simple but well spaced out and very comfortable and all have views over the river onto the plains. But you really stay at Rekero for the fantastic guides and a chance to explore the Maasai Mara...

Just the most wonderful traditional tented camp. Increadible food, the wilderbeast surrounded the camp so we went to sleep listening to the sound of the hippos and wilderbeest. The guides knowledge were second to none and Gerard and Jackson run a very tigh LR - Oct 2006

One of my favourite African mornings has to be waking up to hear a herd of elephant feeding round and over my tent, with that wonderful rumbling sound as they communicated to each other. Then I noticed a tiny little baby elephant standing right by my wash basin in front of my tent…magical.
