Curacao

Curacao is a small, friendly island in the Dutch Antilles, known for its blend of European, African, Asian and Arabic influences. The locals speak a mix of English, Dutch and Papiamentu. The capital, Willemstad, is very rich in Dutch colonial architecture, with many brightly coloured buildings, and there is a Venezuelan ?floating market? where the people come on their boats to sell produce. There are various museums on the island and a visit can be made to Christoffel Park, which can be explored on foot, by car or on horseback. There are beaches and bays dotted all around the island and the crystal clear waters harbour a magnificent coral reef, making it a great area for diving and snorkelling.
