The Amazon and Pantanal are two very different places and offer two very different wildlife experiences...The Amazon basin, with its tributaries and mighty Amazon River, occupies half of Brazil’s territory and is home to an abundance of flora and fauna. Sounds of the native wildlife fill the forest although much remains hidden amongst the dense foliage. Caiman can be seen at night, with the aid of a flashlight, and you may be lucky enough to spot one of the beautiful and very unusual pink river dolphins. Experienced guides will take you on excursions through the forest and those feeling intrepid can try their hand at piranha fishing! The Pantanal, the world’s largest wetland area, is a paradise for wildlife and soft adventure enthusiasts.
