New South Wales Explorer

Take in sunny Sydney before heading to a tropical island and then onto the real Aussie outback for the perfect family adventure.

For a first time visit to Australia, Sydney is a must. The city on the sea offers sunshine, beaches, great restaurants and a happy-go-lucky vibe.

For families there is plenty to do – take a private yacht on the harbour for a delicious seafood lunch, go behind the scenes at the Opera House or at Sydney Wildlife World, or visit the museums highlighting the fascinating convict history.

Australia is a vast country, but you don’t need to travel to all four corners to get a taste of what its all about. On your doorstep are coral fringed islands, amazing wilderness adventures and the real outback.

Take a short flight over to Lord Howe Island and stay at the beautiful boutique Capella Lodge. Very family friendly and with many land and water based activities to enjoy, this is the perfect island escape for the family. The island is a natural wonderland, with mountains, reefs and clear turquoise seas. Snorkel, cycle and explore in warm temperatures and then retreat to the lodge for excellent food and wonderful service.

Back on the mainland, only 2hrs from Sydney are the stunning Blue Mountains. Travelling to a very remote and unspoilt area, you can enjoy the private wilderness safaris that we offer. Swagging on luxurious bedding under the stars and eating delicious food cooked over the fire by your chef, this is an incredible family adventure. During the day you will be taken wildlife spotting, enjoy fishing and donutting on the river. Enjoy the fresh air and natural surroundings in this pristine paradise.

For a final stop on this journey, you will fly into central New South Wales and experience some real outback, in style. Burrawang West may have a stunning swimming pool and luxury quarters, but you really can get your hands dirty on the sheep station and understand what life is all about in rural Australia. There are so many family based activities you won’t know where to start, whether it is quad biking, fishing or sheep shearing – you know that your children will be talking about this experience for years to come.
