Simply Kenya - Meru, Laikipia and Maasai Mara
If you long to immerse yourself in the East African wilderness and take time to drink in the vast skies and endless horizons, this 10 day safari is the perfect way to restore your senses.
On arrival in Nairobi you fly straight onward to Meru National Park. Meru is ideal for those looking for something off-the-beaten-track and is well known for its bird life, with riverine and forest species as well as the arid dry country species. Elsa’s is the site of the release of Elsa the lioness and is sensitively designed to blend in with its natural surroundings.
Then head north to Loisaba. The lodge is set on a high plateau with impressive views of distant mountain ranges. Activities are in no short supply and include horse riding, fishing, canoeing, mountain biking and guided camel walks. While you are there, why not treat yourself to the ultimate night sky experience in one of Loisaba’s unique star beds in the heart of the bush overlooking a moonlit waterhole.
Finally, fly south to the world-famous Maasai Mara for three nights at Saruni. Saruni is located to the northeast of the Mara and full-day drives take guests into the park for game viewing. In addition, guests can enjoy bush picnics, walks with local Maasai, bush picnics and day excursions to Rusinga Island on Lake Victoria.
On your last day you fly back to Nairobi where a day room will be booked for you at House of Waine before your overnight flight back to London.
Overnight flights to Nairobi on Virgin and back to London on British Airways depart daily. All airfares are subject to availability at the time of booking.
